During the week the students at JFK will be given a RAK worksheet. As they do RAKs, they will cross them off until they are complete. Once completed, they will be turned in and used to draw random winners.
2nd grade is also doing a service project on the 14th and 15th.They will be making bagged lunches and donating them to the Unforgotten Haven in Blackwood. From there, the lunches will be delivered to the homeless in Camden.

The Philadelphia Flyers Face Off for Fitness team recently visited JFK. They held a fitness program for selected students. The program focused on living a healthy lifestyle by making smart food choices and the importance of exercise.
Cozies 4 Chemo
I would like to take a minute to thank everyone who helped us in anyway with our Cozies 4 Chemo Night. We had the largest turnout ever and we made 85 blankets! Thanks to all who cut, donated, or actually came and tied blankets. We really appreciate all your support with this project. Shout out to Jen Edwards and the student government for their support and participation. Also thanks to representatives from the Camden Catholic girls' field hockey team and Mike Murphy's girls' softball team. You have helped in some way to warm the hearts of someone going through treatment for this horrible disease. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart!

The 11th anniversary of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record®, a global movement towards transformative change in early education, was a huge success! On 10/27, children and adults around the world highlighted the importance of children’s literacy by participating in the world’s largest shared reading experience. This year’s campaign book, “The Bear Ate Your Sandwich” by Julia Sarcone-Roach, is a classic tale of a bear’s epic journey and the mystery surrounding one delicious sandwich. Dear J.F.K. Parents & Guardians,
It is with much excitement and great anticipation to welcome you to the 2016 – 2017 school year as Principal of the John F. Kennedy Elementary School. I trust that all of you have enjoyed the change of pace that the summer brings to refresh and rejuvenate. We are looking forward to working together with you to ensure another productive and successful school year at the John F. Kennedy School.
Student Arrival and Dismissal Procedures – If you are dropping off/picking up, please park on Mount Vernon Avenue. If you plan on using the front loop, please do not park your car inside the loop as this impedes our arrival/dismissal process and is dangerous to other families dropping off/picking up. Additionally, once your student(s) have safely exited on the curb side, please pull away from the curb to allow space for other families still arriving.
Note: Please remember to bring photo ID when picking up your student(s).
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or the Main Office Secretary; Janett Masterson at email@example.com or via phone (856) 767-9480 ext. 1310.
