Waves of Summer Reading Challenge

Superintendent’s Reading Challenge

Summer is a great time to catch up on all the books on your reading wish list and have an adventure without leaving your house or backyard.  All students and families are encouraged to read.  JFK and DDE students who return their summer reading log by September 12, 2016 will be recognized by Dr. Austermuhl, district Superintendent, at a school wide assembly. In addition, students will receive a raffle ticket to win a $25 Barnes and Noble Gift Card.  The top 4 readers in each grade level will be invited to a “Reading Social” to share their favorite books, some good food and qualify for additional prizes.

Visit the DDE Library website http://ddelibrary.weebly.com/  and the JFK Library website HERE for suggested reading lists and a copy of your school’s reading log.  The Camden County Library System also has some great book related events this summer, so don’t forget to check out their web page.

This summer the DDE Media Center will be open to all incoming 4th – 8th grade students to check out books.  The DDE Media Center  will be open starting June 28 on Tuesdays  thru Thursdays from 11 – 3. (Check the DDE website to confirm dates and times.)
